Art Therapy Alliance on the Go Launches

Alliancefavicard2
Earlier this year, I was really excited to have Favicards created for The Art Therapy Alliance to help spread the word about our growing community dedicated to art therapy and social media.  Our Favicards have already traveled to several places throughout this year, often as a take away for students and professionals interested in learning more or support the many ways to network and connect with the art therapy community via our networks on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and more.

In an effort to share more of the Art Therapy Alliance Favicard love, as well as to promote a collaborative and interactive experience among our community members, partners, and supporters, today marks the launching of Art Therapy Alliance on the Go.

This special feature will use the power of social networking, social media platforms, and community members' creativity to showcase individuals and groups who want to share their Art Therapy Alliance Favicard and highlight their work, passion, or cause.

How to participate in Art Therapy Alliance on the Go:

1. Request an Art Therapy Alliance Favicard from Gretchen Miller, MA, ATR-BC through info@arttherapyalliance.org.  Please only request a card if you are serious about contributing to the project. In your e-mail, please include your name and a mailing address where your Favicard can be mailed to you.  One card per request please.  At this time, requests will be received until December 31, 2011. Now extended until June 30, 2012!

2. Upon receiving your Favicard, take a digital photo that includes the card in some context. Be creative!

3. E-mail the photo (JPEG) to info@arttherapyalliance.org.  In your e-mail, be sure include a brief description about your work, interests, passions, a blurb about how you access/use The Art Therapy Alliance network, as well as how you use art and the creative process to help others. This is a great opportunity to introduce, promote, or share your work with thousands from all over the world!

4. Photos and content e-mailed back to the Art Therapy Alliance may be posted to our Facebook page, LinkedIn community, our posterous, Twitter timeline, website, or the e-zine FUSION

5.  All requests and submissions are subject to review to ensure they are in alignment with the Art Therapy Alliance's mission and values.

If there are any questions, please feel to e-mail info@arttherapyalliance.org  for more information. Looking forward to more connection, creativity, and community!
